Artist's win awards

Artists Sherree Valentine Daines and Henderson Cisz have recently been awarded two prestigious awards.

Summer 2007 saw the launch of one of the most collectable items of the year. 'First Impressions', a beautiful hardback book by Sherree Valentine Daines created quite a stir across the Uk, and the launch party in Notting Hill Gate was packed with collectors, critics and celebrity guests. This Autumn Sherree has also released some exceptional Canvas Editions which have been described as her finest work of her career.

Sheree was recently presented with an award 'The UK's Leading Contemporary Impressionist 2007'. She received the award in London from Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, however, Sheree took the opportunity to present Laurence with a portrait of himself! Sherree will be painting a matching portrait of Laurence's wife Jackie for the cameras in a TV programme called 'To the Manor Bowen' following the Llewelyn Bowen’s progress from city slickers to the rural idyll.

Yet again the Fine Art Trade Guild has recognized London-based Brazilian artist Henderson Cisz in honour of his magnificent cityscapes. Whilst last year Henderson was acknowledged as Best New Artist, he has now been named as Artist of the Year and recently won the 2007 John Solomon Trophy- a good year all round for Mr Cisz! - an award for the artist who has made the most impact in the marketplace over the year. Doug Hyde and Jack Vettriano were also in the top 10. These awards came to no surprise within the industry as he has made an outstanding contribution to the contemporary art scene in this country over the year
